A Caution: The links below are useful for researching and understanding the law and regulatory requirements of various jurisdictions. We use them in our practice and make them available as a courtesy to our clients and colleagues. The responsibility for the content of those web pages remains with their authors. Many of these sources do not provide the official comments to the source law. Some do not provide references to the relevant case law and decisions. Case law changes over time. The sites of regulatory agencies sometimes do not explain all of your options. "Uniform" codes are not necessarily uniform. There is good information on these web sites, but you should use it with caution and consult your lawyer before making important decisions based on them.

The White House		The official site of the President and Vice President of the United States

U.S. Federal Courts		The official web site of the federal judiciary including links to the District Courts, Courts of Appeal, and Bankruptcy Courts for all venues

U.S. Copyright		The official web site of the U.S. Copyright Office
U.S. PTO		The official web site of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
U.S. FTC		The official web site of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Among other things, you can use this site to file a protest against anyone who uses the Internet to put unsolicited junk on your computer (pop-ups, pop-unders, time bombs, etc.)
U.S. Dept. of Commerce		The official site of the U.S. Department of Commerce
U.S Dept. of Labor		This is the official site of the U.S. Department of Labor. Particularly noteworthy is the section on compliance with labor and employment regulations.

States and Other Jurisdictional Law

All	Uniform Commercial Code	This is perhaps the most uniform law among the United States. It regulates the sale of goods between merchants and by merchants to consumers. It also regulated other business such as secured transactions, negotiable instruments, and letters of credit. It has been adopted in some form by the legislatures of every State. This link goes to the official text. There are variations among the States.
NJ	New Jersey law	This site provides a comprehensive reference for the statutory and case laws of the State of New Jersey. It has links to the laws of the other States
NJ	New Jersey courts	The official site of the courts of the State of New Jersey. This site has information for both lawyers and non-lawyers. Our favorite links are to the official court forms, civil motion calendar, civil practice guide, court rules, and the civil jury charges.
NJ	New Jersey RPC	The New Jersey Rules of Professional Conduct are binding on all lawyers admitted to practice in New Jersey. They are based on the rules suggested by the ABA. Other jurisdictions have similar rules.
NJ	New Jersey business gateway	This is an official site of the State of New Jersey that provides information on business filings. There is generally a fee charged for their services.
NJ	New Jersey taxation	The official web site of the New Jersey Division of Taxation
NJ	NJDEP public records	This site provides information and instructions for obtaining copies or access to records held by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
NJ	Municipalities	State link to the County and municipal web sites
CA	California law	Statutory and case law of the State of California
NY	New York law	This site provides a comprehensive reference for the statutory and case laws of the State of New York
PA	Pennsylvania law	This site provides a comprehensive reference for the statutory and case laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
All	Public Utilities	Have a problem with your telephone bill that your provider just won’t solve? This site by consumeraffairs.com provides links to every State’s public utility regulatory agency.
All	Insurance Commissioners	This site provides links and phone numbers for each State’s insurance commissioners.

American Lawyer's Media Dictionary	This source does not have the traditional status of Black's Law Dictionary, but it is very reputable and a good online source for definitions.
New Jersey Lawyers Diary links	The New Jersey Lawyer's Diary and Manual is a traditional source of information for those of us who practice here. Their web site contains some very helpful links to other resources.
Lawguru	The site provides a wide variety of legal information and forms. We write for the legal advice column. To see some of our work, click here.
Jenkins Law Library	The Jenkins Law Library is a commercial library that has been a reliable source of support for Pennsylvania and New Jersey lawyers for many years.
Rutgers Law Library	This is the main page for the Rutgers University law library at the Camden campus.
LEXIS	This is a paid site that provides search services for lawyers
New Jersey Law Journal	This is the online edition of one of the principal sources of news to New Jersey lawyers. It's what we read when we are not working on your business.
PACER	PACER is a paid service that is sanctioned by the U.S. federal courts. It provides information on the status and history of cases before the courts.
US GPO	The official web site of the U.S. Government Printing Office. The GPO publishes many resources that are useful for entities doing business in USA.
WESTLAW	This is a paid site that provides search services for lawyers
